What does it cost?
Nothing. PropSnap is free while it is in beta. If paid features come later, the free ones stay free and you will be told clearly which is which.
How do I get the full address?
The address lookup needs a free key from the government's energy certificate register. Create an account at get-energy-performance-data.communities.gov.uk, copy your API key, and paste it under Settings in the PropSnap popup. It takes about five minutes, and PropSnap checks the key works. Everything else works without one.
Why is an address sometimes a best guess?
When several homes in the postcode look alike, PropSnap says so instead of pretending. It shows the close matches and you pick the right one on the dashboard. Letters only go to addresses that are an exact match or your own pick.
Which sites and areas does it cover?
Rightmove, Zoopla and OpenRent listings in England and Wales. Some checks are only as complete as the national data: not every council's conservation and Article 4 areas are mapped yet, and Wales has no national Article 4 map, so PropSnap says "none found" or "ask the council" rather than "none".
